Administering progesterone shots has been quite a challenging experience for me. Whether it’s the nerves, the difficulty finding the right injection site, or the fear of doing it wrong, the process always seems so daunting. Can anyone relate? Why do you think progesterone shots are so hard to administer? Let’s share tips and experiences!
I completely agree! Injecting PIO can be really tough with the thick oil, big needles, small injection site, and awkward angles. It’s frustrating to deal with, even when you’re doing it correctly. I never found a solution for the muscle soreness either, despite trying all the advice out there. Hang in there, I hope the time goes by quickly for you!
I appreciate the help. It’s been difficult for me to fill the large needle with liquid. I think I need to take another crash course at the clinic because I’ve made mistakes with my first 2 doses and panicked each time.
Have you ever tried icing before? My spouse gives me the injections and it has been a challenge for him to get it right without causing extreme pain. Slow injection, smooth withdrawal, and injecting towards the upper end of the area have helped me reduce the pain significantly.
I applied ice to my buttocks and warmed the oil before starting the treatment, followed by a relaxing massage afterwards. It greatly improved my comfort.
What is the reason for using injection instead of vaginal capsules? I have never had to use progesterone injections before.
