I’ve been prescribed these for fertility treatment, but the side effects are really getting to me. Has anyone else gone through this? Any tips on how to alleviate the itching or make it more bearable? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
It’s possible that you had an allergic reaction to the prometrium suppositories, as you experienced itchiness and discomfort similar to a yeast infection. Switching to crinone for your FET seemed to resolve the issue.

I typically use my progesterone rectally, but this weekend I decided to insert it vaginally. As a result, I have been experiencing discomfort and soreness around my vulva. My clinic advised me to use Canesten thrush treatment, which I did last night and it has provided some relief. I will definitely be going back to using it rectally in the future. If you are comfortable with that method, I recommend it.
I believe the FET will not be affected as I consulted my nurses about the itching and they were not worried. Showering more frequently alleviated the discomfort. I switched to crinone gel, which has been more effective. A person mentioned that using a finger for insertion instead of the applicator helped them.
