Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a bit of my journey with you all. After having my tubes tied years ago, I never thought I would be exploring IVF as an option to expand my family. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions, from doubts and fears to newfound hope and excitement.
I would love to connect with others who have undergone IVF after tubal ligation or are considering it. How did you navigate the process? What was your experience like? Any tips or words of encouragement would be much appreciated. Let’s support each other through this unique path to parenthood!
I believe that it is not a sensitive matter at all. There are numerous reasons why people choose to use IVF, not always due to infertility. For instance, same-sex couples, single mothers by choice, and genetic/hereditary concerns. This space encompasses a variety of stories and backgrounds.
Having no tubes means you may struggle with fertility. It’s best to see a specialist to assess your ovarian reserve and follicle count. This will give you a better understanding of your chances for IVF, even though having two children already is a positive sign. Good luck!
I had my tubes tied when I was 25, underwent IVF, and now I am 34 years old and 36 weeks pregnant. Feel free to ask me any questions!
I did not undergo a tubal ligation, but my tubes mysteriously became blocked after a natural pregnancy, so I am now pursuing IVF. The nurse practitioner performing my HSG mentioned that it appeared as though I had a tubal ligation due to the location of the blockage. Fortunately, I do not have any other fertility issues, and my test results have been positive. I have completed one retrieval and obtained numerous healthy embryos, now awaiting the results of our first FET with fingers crossed.
In 2008, I underwent tubal ligation. Now, at 38 years old, I am 34 weeks pregnant after two FET procedures. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Please feel free to message me. I have a lot of experience with x.
My infertility is due to the absence of tubes, a result of a previous infection. Thankfully, everything else is normal. I have not voluntarily removed them. I am in a similar situation as you. My journey has been smooth so far and I am hopeful for success. My first FET is scheduled for 3/3.
I am currently undergoing IVF treatment. I had my tubes tied in 08/2015 and experienced an ectopic pregnancy in 07/2024. Both my tubes were removed by my doctor to prevent another ectopic pregnancy.
I am 31 years old, already have two children, and had my tubes removed after my second child. However, my partner and I have decided we want to have one more child. I am ready to start the process and plan to see my obgyn soon. Can I schedule a consult directly with an IVF clinic and begin the process with a doctor, or do I need to go through someone else first? As I have never dealt with infertility before, I am unsure of where to start. Any information is greatly appreciated!
