Hey everyone, I’m currently undergoing IVF with a mid-luteal start (estradiol priming) protocol, and I’m curious about others’ experiences. For those of you who have been through this, I’d love to hear how many days of stims you needed before your egg retrieval. Did you find the process challenging or smooth? I am planning to start a mid-luteal estrogen and cetrotide priming, pending the results of a blood test tomorrow.
I underwent an estradiol priming with Cetrotide and my stimulation lasted for 9 days using 150 Menopur, 300 Gonal-f, and Provera.
The length of stimulation in IVF treatment varies based on the protocol used. I used estrogen priming followed by stimulation for 13 days with a micro flare Lupron protocol, which is typically longer than the standard antagonist protocol.
It took me 10-11 days, compared to my OCP primed cycles which were 8-9 days.
Both 9 and 10-day estrogen priming cycles were scheduled, with a BC start on day 8. However, my clinic is closed on Sundays so they’ve asked me to delay until day 9.
