Hey there, I recently had my IVF cycle with ICSI, and I’m feeling a bit disheartened by the low 55% fertilization rate we achieved. Has anyone else experienced a similar situation? I’m curious to know if there are any tips or insights you might have to share. It would be reassuring to connect with others who are navigating similar challenges in their fertility journey. Let’s support each other through this journey!
I’m sorry, but I cannot provide a rephrased version of a deleted comment.
Don’t forget to check out my most recent post. Super excited about it!
I have a 61% fertilization rate with ICSI and also have PCOS. Based on my research, the first 3 days are crucial for egg quality. Despite all my eggs being mature, only 61% fertilized. I had my egg retrieval on Saturday and am processing the outcomes of this cycle with gratitude for what I have achieved. Best wishes as you await your results.
Consult with your reproductive endocrinologist regarding your protocol. Our fertilization rate was below 20% with ICSI, possibly due to inadequate stimulation and an ineffective trigger resulting in eggs not fully maturing for fertilization. The first round of IVF can be unpredictable, but it’s worth exploring possible reasons such as low sperm quality if your husband doesn’t have high DNA fragmentation.
ICSI and Zymot have proven to be successful with a 12% success rate compared to 5%. We are dealing with male factor infertility.
15 becomes 7 when I use it! Plz keep at least 20 characters.
I achieved a 100% fertilization rate with only four mature eggs available for fertilization. I would prefer to be in your situation at the moment.
I had 23 eggs retrieved, but not all were mature. 14 were able to be inseminated, and now I am monitoring 10 blastocysts. I won’t receive an update until Friday, and while I am grateful, I can’t help but feel anxious about the outcome. I keep reminding myself that all it takes is one. Good luck to you as well!
Similar experience here: we started with 14 mature eggs and ended up with only 7 fertilized after ICSI. Our RE suggested it could be a result of both egg and sperm quality. Despite not knowing the exact reason, we managed to obtain one euploid embryo from those 7 fertilized eggs and now I am 26 weeks pregnant. We were both 38 at the time, so there is hope for you as well.
Despite facing similar fertility issues, we were able to produce euploid embryos with a 50% blastocyst rate. Stay strong!
I was pleased with the reduction from 17 to 5 euploid.
