Struggling with Endometritis: Need Advice

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. I recently found out that I have endometritis, and I’m feeling overwhelmed with questions and concerns. I would greatly appreciate any advice or insights from anyone who has dealt with this condition before. How did you manage the symptoms? Did you find any successful treatments or lifestyle changes that helped? Any tips or personal experiences you could share would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help and support!

It varies by clinic, but mine says that having 5 or more plasma cells is considered positive for endometritis. According to research, having fewer than 5 plasma cells does not affect implantation. Your clinic may recommend a 14-day course of doxycycline as treatment. Additionally, taking oral and vaginal probiotics, such as VagiBiom, may be helpful. Your partner may also need treatment to prevent the bacteria from being passed back and forth. It is advisable to undergo another biopsy after the antibiotic treatment to ensure the infection has cleared. Most people clear it after the first round of treatment, but some may require multiple treatments. With your low numbers, you should be able to clear it quickly.

I’m not sure if mine were CD138, but I had 7 plasma cells in 4 high power fields, diagnosed as chronic mild endometritis. I was prescribed 100mg doxycycline 2x/day for 14 days, followed by a vaginal probiotic 1x/day for 14 days, and then a maintenance dose twice a week. The RE mentioned the option of rebiopsy, but due to the mild nature, she felt it wasn’t necessary. Therefore, I decided not to retest.
