Sharing My Acupuncture Experience: The Good, The Bad, and The Unexpected

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent acupuncture journey and hear about yours too! Have you had any remarkable experiences – whether good, bad, or downright unexpected – with acupuncture? I had my doubts at first, but now I’m eager to dive deeper into this ancient practice. Can’t wait to hear your stories!

I began acupuncture from the time of my egg retrieval till delivery, despite initial doubts. After reading reviews and watching success stories online, I decided to give it a try. I started at 40 and became a mom at 41. I have no regrets and would choose acupuncture again. My doctor was supportive and we collaborated on a treatment plan.

If it helps you relax, I would consider starting acupuncture 2 weeks before the transfer. In my opinion, starting acupuncture this close to the transfer might not make a significant difference. Personally, I tried it 6 weeks before my first FET, which unfortunately resulted in a miscarriage. During my second transfer, I didn’t do acupuncture due to COVID restrictions and that transfer was successful.

but in my experience, acupuncture was a positive and beneficial addition to my fertility journey. It allowed me to relax and destress, provided physical comfort during bloating, and helped with healing post-retrievals. Additionally, it aided in alleviating congestion and headaches. Give it a try and see how it impacts you after a few sessions! Listen to your body and do what brings you comfort.
