Seeking Insights: 36, Follicles, Euploids?

Just turned 36 and currently navigating the world of mature follicles and euploids. Curious to hear from fellow ladies around the same age - how many mature follicles and euploids were you able to get on your journey? Looking for shared experiences and insights! Hit me up with your stories and advice. Let’s support each other through this process!

I went through 3 retrievals at the age of 36 and only ended up with 1 euploid egg after PGT testing. Despite the frustration, it’s true that it really only takes one successful transfer for a live birth.

Hi there! I’m 36 years old and just completed my first FET today. My AMH test 9 months ago was 0.9, so my doctor wasn’t very hopeful. But I started with 16 follicles and ended up with 10 before retrieval. I had 8 eggs retrieved, all mature and fertilized, resulting in 4 blasts and 3 euploids. Wishing you the best of luck! <3

I am 35 years old and had 18 eggs retrieved, all of which were mature. Fourteen eggs were fertilized, resulting in 7 embryos and 5 euploids. Among them, there are 2 day 5 embryos rated 6aa and 6ab, and 3 day 6 embryos rated 6ba, 6bb, and 2bb. We have 3 boys and 2 girls. I began taking Costco pregnant vitamins well before the egg retrieval process.

I had two children at the age of 36. Out of 16 retrieved, 8 matured, 5 were fertilized, and 4 turned into blasts, with 2 being euploids. The second time around, out of 15 retrieved, 12 matured, 7 were fertilized, but none turned into blasts. :woman_shrugging:

4 out of the 6 embryos were found to be euploid out of a total of 22 eggs collected. The only issue was the partner’s male factor infertility and the retrieval was done when I had just turned 36.

At the ages of 35 and 36, I underwent 3 egg retrievals in 6 months at different fertility clinics.

The results were as follows:

-First retrieval: 2 eggs retrieved, 2 mature, 1 blastocyst, none euploid.
-Second retrieval: 7 eggs retrieved, none mature, a major disappointment.
-Third retrieval: 20 eggs retrieved, 12 mature, 6 blastocysts, none euploid.

I have been facing challenging statistics throughout this journey, but things finally turned around. I transferred the embryo with inconclusive results on 8/1, and I am currently 7w4d pregnant from my first FET.

I froze those mature eggs, then thawed them 4 years later and successfully obtained 3 euploids.

At the age of 36, I had 16 follicles, 11 mature eggs, all of which fertilized with ICSI. 6 embryos were developed by day 5/6, out of which 2 were euploid.

In a 35-year-old woman, the AMH levels showed a decreasing trend from March 2024 to June 2025. The AFC at the start of stimulation for the first and second egg retrievals were 14 and 8, respectively. The results show that the first egg retrieval in December 2024 had 21 retrieved eggs, 19 mature, 12 fertilized, only 2 blasts, and 1 euploid embryo. The second egg retrieval in June 2025 had 12 retrieved and mature eggs, 10 fertilized, 5 blasts, 4 euploid embryos, and 1 LLM. The rates calculated based on these results show that in the first egg retrieval, 63% of mature eggs fertilized, 17% of those fertilized made it to blasts, and 50% of blasts were euploid. In the second egg retrieval, 83% of mature eggs fertilized, 50% of those fertilized made it to blasts, and 100% of blasts were viable for transfer.

Despite being older, I am grateful for the success I have had with my fertility treatments.

Best of luck with your euploid rate as it is around 60% for those who are 36 years old, with some variation depending on the day of biopsy and embryo grading. I was 37 years old during the retrievals, slightly older, but I hope this information is still useful. Good luck!!

First retrieval: 7 eggs retrieved, 6 mature, 3 fertilized, none made it to blastocyst stage.
Second retrieval: 17 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 10 fertilized, 5 made it to blastocyst stage, 3 were euploid.

Good luck with the two retrieval cycles - in the first cycle, 6 were retrieved with 2 blasts and 1 euploid, and in the second cycle, 10 were retrieved with 4 blasts, 3 euploids, and 1 high level mosaic. Wishing you all the best with 7 as a lucky number!

After my first egg retrieval, I had 6 fertilized eggs resulting in 4 blastocysts and 1 euploid. In my second retrieval, I had 7 fertilized eggs with 5 blastocysts and 2 euploid embryos. Additionally, I obtained 4 low-level mosaics with potential.

I had my second ER a few weeks after turning 36. We retrieved 22 eggs, 15 were mature, 11 were fertilized, resulting in 4 blasts and 1 euploid. Despite starting with promising numbers, I was disappointed as the numbers decreased rapidly. I believe I ended up with below average blasts and euploids.

I have had a total of 36 retrievals, with varying outcomes for each cycle.

I underwent egg retrieval at 36 years old, resulting in 16 eggs, 7 blastocysts, and 4 euploids. Best of luck to you!

Hello, I am 36 years old. I started with 6 follicles at baseline and ended up with 18 after stimulation. I retrieved 12 eggs, 9 of which were mature and fertilized. I had 5 embryos, but 2 were not suitable for freezing. I had a fresh transfer and froze 2 embryos. The success rate for the embryos was 40% with 5 blasts, and 25% with 3 blasts. Unfortunately, the fresh transfer was not successful, so I am preparing for a frozen embryo transfer. Also, I forgot to mention that we did not test any embryos as it was not deemed necessary.

In a single cycle, I had 11 eggs retrieved, 7 of which were mature, resulting in 3 reaching the blastocyst stage - 2 were euploid and 1 was left untested. This time around, we tried a 50/50 split between standard IVF and ICSI, but unfortunately ICSI did not yield successful results. In the next round, I had 12 eggs retrieved, 9 of which were mature, with 5 reaching the blastocyst stage - 3 were euploid and 2 were mosaic (1 HLM, 1 LLM).
