Need Advice: Moving embryos or traveling back to old clinic?

I find myself in a tough spot and could really use some insights. We have embryos stored at our old fertility clinic, but now we are considering transferring them to a new clinic closer to where we currently live. Has anyone been in a similar situation? What factors should we consider in making this decision? Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated!

I transferred my original embryos to a different clinic for a new protocol and doctor, just a short distance away. It’s important to have a tracker device to monitor the movement of your embryos. Ideally, keep your embryos at the same clinic, but also check the quality of the labs. RMA has a good reputation, so ensure the new clinic has adequate storage facilities. Consider Cryo Future for storage as well. Make sure to research the regulations regarding embryos in the new city, as the laws may have changed.

I will be facing a similar situation, but as I love my clinic, I have chosen to become a travel patient. However, the options in my new city are not as robust, which complicates matters.

I transferred my embryo from my previous clinic to my new one so that my current doctor could perform the transfer if necessary, besides it saved me from paying two storage fees. The process turned out to be easier than I expected, especially because both clinics were located in the same metro area and I used the company recommended by my clinic.
