Hey all,
I’m curious if anyone has had experience with their ultrasound follicle count during IUI and whether it gave any indication of how many eggs could potentially be retrieved? I’m scheduled for my procedure soon and feeling a mix of nerves and excitement. Any insights or personal stories would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts!
Here is the listing of my last IUI ultrasound.
The number is not fabricated, but it is unpredictable how one will respond to stimulations until the process of stimulation is initiated. In the case of PCOS, there is an increased likelihood of having a high number of follicles, but there can also be significant drop-offs at each stage of the fertility process.
The data may not be exact, as the tools are 2D, but I had a similar follicle count and ended up with 34 eggs, 28 of which were mature after stims. You may have a positive outcome as well!
