I'm Worried: PCOS and Embryo Retrieval Results

My eggs went through the following stages: retrieved at 23, matured at over 18, fertilized at 17, developed into blastocysts at 11, and finally 8 were euploid.

In my one and only retrieval at 35, I obtained 6 euploid, 2 low-level mosaic embryos, and 1 with insufficient DNA to determine success. Luckily, my first FET was successful!

I am a 33-year-old female with a 30-year-old husband. I had 14 eggs retrieved, 10 were mature, 8 fertilized with ICSI, and 4 made it to day 5 for PGT-A biopsy. Unfortunately, 1 was high mosaic, 1 low mosaic, and 2 were inconclusive. We plan on doing another egg retrieval in early May to try and get more embryos and rebiopsy the inconclusive ones. Despite taking ubiquinol, CoQ10, and various vitamins for months prior to stimulation, my results were not ideal. Some people, however, have success with high euploid numbers from a single retrieval.

At 29 years old, I went to the emergency room at the age of 28. Trigger warning: I experienced positive results. Despite my PCOS, I was on low stimulation and ended up with 22 eggs, 12 mature, 10 fertilized, and 9 five-day embryos. These embryos were not tested as this was a freeze-all cycle according to my clinic, and all 9 were frozen. The clinic’s policy was to freeze all embryos if there were over 20 eggs to avoid the risk of OHSS. I believe I experienced a mild form of this.

“I am 34 years old and successfully had 40 eggs collected, with 20 mature, 19 fertilized, and 15 reaching day 5, all graded 5AB or higher. I consumed electrolytes and salty foods to prevent OHSS with no issues. Best of luck to you!”

At the age of 33, I had a total of 42 eggs retrieved. Out of those, 30 were found to be mature, 29 were successfully fertilized, resulting in 17 blasts and 15 euploid embryos. Among them, there are 7 boys and 8 girls.

Following my egg retrieval, I experienced moderate OHSS due to being a high responder. I triggered on Day 9 and had multiple follicles measuring 16 by Day 5, so my dosage was adjusted for the remainder of the cycle. I am 32 years old with PCOS. We retrieved 40 eggs, 25 were mature, 18 fertilized, and 14 developed into blastocysts (6 on day 5, 6 on day 6, and 2 on day 7). Currently waiting for the PGT-A results.

Turning 30 in a few weeks, I am now 29 years old. We retrieved 46 eggs, 31 of which are mature and 24 fertilized, resulting in 22 blasts. Waiting on PGT results after a successful 11-day stimulation! Best of luck to you!

My doctors have informed me that having PCOS may actually be beneficial for egg retrieval, with 46 eggs collected, 40 mature, 32 fertilized, 21 becoming blastocysts, and 15 being euploids!

From two retrievals, a total of 23 eggs resulted in fertilization for 13 blasts. Out of those, 10 embryos were found to be usable, with 8 being PGTA normal and 2 being mosaic.

Absolutely! PCOS has definitely helped me with this aspect. My AMH is 13.7 and I had 61 retrieved, 54 mature, 40 fertilized, 19 blastocysts, 12 PGT tested with 11 euploid. The remaining 7 are frozen.

Trigger Warning: High number of eggs retrieved. My Polycystic Ovary Syndrome led to retrieval at age 29. Despite 60 eggs retrieved, only 19 euploid embryos were obtained. OHSS occurred, and unfortunately, the egg quality is not the best as shown in the results.

The patient is 29 years old, just one month away from turning 30. Antral follicle count was 27, with 20 eggs retrieved, 18 mature, 16 fertilized, 8 Day 5 blasts, 8 Day 6 blasts, resulting in a total of 16 embryos.

Best of luck! I had 27 eggs retrieved, 20 fertilized, and 17 embryos by day 5. My fingers are crossed for you!
