I recently started taking CoQ10 for its potential health benefits, but now I’m concerned about the possibility of overdosing. I’ve heard conflicting information about how much is too much. Has anyone else experienced this? Can a person overdose on CoQ10, and what are the signs to watch for? I’d appreciate any insights or experiences you can share on this topic.
It’s an antioxidant, so you can’t really overdose on it, but your body can only absorb a certain amount at once, so you’ll just excrete the excess.
As per my doctor’s recommendation, I am increasing my dosage to 800mg per day before my next emergency room visit, which is equivalent to the most effective dose in mice studies. So I believe you will be fine.
It’s only one day, but I doubt it will make a significant difference. I have been prescribed varying dosages of CoQ10 and Omega by different healthcare professionals, so I’m not too concerned. However, I recommend speaking to your doctor tomorrow just to be safe. Good luck and please keep us updated.
I’m not entirely sure, but I believe the maximum recommended dosage of CoQ10 for pregnancy is around 1,200.
Under the guidance of my doctor, I followed a 900mg dose and successfully gave birth to a healthy baby before my FET.
You’re great! I was taking 1200/day during my IVF journey :).
I consume 1000 daily. You’re good to go!
Don’t worry, your body will eliminate it through urine. Toxicity occurs with consistent exposure and high absorption, not from a single high dose.
Don’t worry! Vitamins and supplements are usually recommended in doses well below the danger level, so an extra dose shouldn’t cause any harm.
I am grateful to everyone for easing my mind - this community is amazing

You’re doing okay. Just keep going.
