Hey fellow mamas-to-be,
This week has been quite a rollercoaster of emotions for me as I navigate through my pregnancy journey. From the excitement of feeling those first kicks to the overwhelming list of things to prepare for before the baby arrives, it’s been a lot to process.
I’ve been finding myself with so many questions popping up about everything from birthing options to baby gear essentials. If any of you have experienced similar feelings or have any tips to share, I would greatly appreciate it.
Let’s use this space to open up about our pregnancies, ask questions, share experiences, and support each other through this incredible but sometimes daunting time in our lives.
Trigger warning: positive beta test
I asked for an early beta test at 8DPT before Thanksgiving and got a positive home test, but my clinic’s response to my low beta result of 37.4 left me feeling defeated. The lack of congratulations and their focus on the low HCG level made me sad, especially since this is my last embryo after a previous failed transfer and miscarriage. The clinic wants me to come in on Monday, but I’m unsure about the significance of the low beta based on my online research.
Hello everyone, I am currently 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant after undergoing IVF and dealing with endometriosis. Today, I experienced heavy bleeding with clots which led us to rush to the doctor out of fear. Thankfully, the ultrasound showed that everything is still intact, with the gestational sac looking perfect and the embryo measuring on track. The doctor mentioned that the bleeding is likely related to placenta formation. Despite being back at home, I am still bleeding and experiencing strong cramps/pain, which is causing me some concern. I would like to hear from anyone who has experienced heavy bleeding and cramps around 6 weeks, especially those with endometriosis, and went on to have a healthy pregnancy. Thank you!
After two years of IVF, three unsuccessful euploid FETs, and a laparoscopy, I am finally farther along than I have ever been in my IVF journey, despite experiencing multiple losses prior to starting IVF. I am currently 14 days past a 6-day transfer of a low mosaic embryo, with beta levels increasing steadily. I have my next check on 11/26 and have scheduled an ultrasound for 12/8. The next two weeks are going to feel like an eternity!
Trigger warning: Potential miscarriage
This is my 6th attempt at conception and I am currently pregnant, but there may be a risk of a blighted ovum or miscarriage.
I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks that showed an empty sac, and at 6 weeks 4 days there was a sac and possibly a yolk sac but nothing more.
I have another ultrasound scheduled for 8 weeks 4 days. Is there still a chance for a successful pregnancy? My pregnancy tests are still positive at 8 weeks.
Has anyone else experienced a similar situation with a positive outcome? I am aware that the situation is precarious. It is difficult to mentally prepare for potential loss.
TW: Possible miscarriage scare
I had my first ultrasound this week on Tuesday, where we got to see the baby with a healthy heartbeat and measuring a day ahead. However, they also found a small SCH. Fast forward to yesterday (Saturday) when I woke up to heavy bleeding and rushed to the ER. They found two SCHs, one larger than expected, and sadly, no cardiac activity, leading them to suspect a miscarriage. The ER doctor’s manner was not comforting and the news was devastating. After several hours, the bleeding slowed down, although we are still worried. Today, I’m 7w4d and my clinic is considering further ultrasounds. We are holding onto hope, but it’s a difficult waiting game.
It has been 6 days since my 5-day semi hatched transfer, with negative early response tests and experiencing period-like cramps which have caused severe emotional distress. I am feeling hopeless and lost, with no joy in life and constant tears. IVF has only brought me heartbreak.
Hello everyone, I’m looking for some advice! I received a positive 10dp5dt result with levels of HCG 324.1, Estradiol 1762.69, and Progesterone 104.78 on a Friday. After stopping progesterone shots, my HCG levels were 720 on Monday, and they want to test again on Wednesday aiming for levels above 745. Trying not to panic but looking for any similar experiences or insights. Thank you!
TW: pregnancy
Hello everyone, we were lucky to have success using a modified natural cycle with Crinone once daily in the morning. The clinic recommended stopping at 8 weeks, but I feel it may be too early. This is our first success so I am naturally a bit nervous. When did you stop Crinone in a modified natural cycle?
