Hey everyone,
I’ve been struggling a lot lately with all the IVF socials and online groups. While they were initially a source of support and comfort, I’m finding myself feeling more overwhelmed than ever. The constant updates, comparisons, and well-meaning advice are starting to take a toll on my mental health. I think I may need to step back and reevaluate whether being part of these communities is helping or hindering my journey.
Has anyone else felt this way before? How did you navigate taking a break from IVF socials without feeling guilty or isolated? I’d appreciate any insights or experiences you can share. Thanks for listening.
I came across a post on an IVF page seeking advice for naming my third child to match my first two.
This exact situation occurred to me too. I was so mad, and it turned out to be a backyard chicken farmer.

It is humorous, but I can relate to having to laugh after my first ER resulted in only one aneuploid embryo. It’s tough to see others with so many eggs and embryos, all euploid, when going through this challenging process.
Thank you for making me laugh! ![]()

I’ve been hiding posts after only reading the first few words in the title, it wouldn’t be a shock if some were completely random ![]()

I find all of this so relatable because IVF has made me a happy grandma. My husband and I enjoy birdwatching, and I’m a big baker so I’m excited to get creative with all these eggs! My parents got new hens this year for fun, so now we have an abundance of eggs. My first FET experience made me feel like a mother hen. Have you seen “The Egg and I”? It’s a movie that combines chicken farming and pregnancy - I highly recommend it!
Crying and laughing emojis, so funny! ![]()

Haha, I can relate to having too many eggs in the summer thanks to my 8 productive hens! My Reddit page combines my interests in IVF and backyard chickens.
I can’t stop laughing!
I can’t help but laugh at this!
I am smiling awkwardly and laughing at that emoji combination.
I almost missed that! I’m taking a break too, turning off notifications. Cheers, my friend! ![]()
I love this! Thank you for sharing, it’s pure gold in the world of IVF comedy. ![]()

I appreciate the humor, it gave me a good laugh!
Haha, this made me laugh so much!
I haven’t been very active on IVF social media lately due to my embryos not developing as expected. Despite retrieving between 20 and 30 eggs during each of my four egg retrievals at 39 years old, my eggs aren’t fertilizing properly and I only have one viable embryo for testing. This whole process is incredibly frustrating.
