Hey everyone, I recently scheduled a consultation with Kindbody, a fertility clinic known for their innovative approach. I’m feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves as the appointment approaches. I’ve done my research, read testimonials, and checked their success rates, but I’m still unsure about what to expect. Has anyone here been through a consultation with Kindbody? I would love to hear about your experiences, any advice you might have, or even just a friendly word of encouragement. Sharing your journey could make a world of difference for me right now. Thank you in advance!
I am currently in Chicago and my doctor rarely communicates directly with me; instead, it is always the nurses. One of the nurses made me cry after a meeting due to their pessimism. When I schedule an appointment with the doctor, they arrive late and I end up meeting with the nurses instead. If you encounter any problems, I suggest immediately complaining and demanding answers.
Within two weeks, the testing results were uploaded to the portal and the doctor called me immediately after they were uploaded. While there are issues with Kindbody, like billing and onboarding, communication has never been a problem. Emails are answered within a day and I have the cell phone numbers of my nurses and doctors, allowing me to text them anytime. My nurse is always available, even at 24/7. Being assertive and appealing to management has been effective. While we had to have a difficult conversation with Kindbody, it was not related to information or communication.
I received an update on my embryos 7 days after retrieval. The information was posted to my portal today, which is exactly one week after the retrieval procedure. I have an appointment scheduled to discuss the results tomorrow, which will be 8 days post retrieval.
My clinic is also irritatingly slow, despite being a specialized boutique that is highly recommended in the area. I wish they would be more considerate of the stressful waiting period and provide regular updates.
I am currently at Kindbody in Chicago, where they promptly share the results of my retrieval process. I will hear about the number of mature and fertilized eggs the day after retrieval, and a week later I will be updated on how many embryos made it to blast. There are no appointments needed for these updates, and while I don’t receive any information in between, perhaps that’s for the best!
The coverage isn’t the best, but if it’s all you have, you have to make it work. I also experienced delays in updates and discovered if we had any blasts after a week.
Kindbody seems to be a hit in my local infertility group, but I find it strange there haven’t been any updates on embryos. My clinic usually provides updates on days 3 and 6, at least a day 7 update should be expected.
I’m curious if it could be the location that is making my experience with Kindbody positive so far.
I received multiple calls from them throughout the process in Chicago. I have had a positive experience with them overall. Although my doctors have moved to other states, there are still several excellent ones remaining.
My clinic only provides updates on fertilization and on day 7. I believe this waiting period is beneficial, even though it can be difficult. I feel that if I had been informed on day 5 that there was nothing to biopsy and freeze, I would have been disheartened. Fortunately, all of our blasts were developed by day 6 and everything turned out fine!
