Hi all, just took a home test at 9 days past a 5-day transfer and got a negative result. Feeling a bit disheartened, but wondering if there’s still a possibility for implantation to happen later on? Has anyone experienced something similar and ended up with a positive result? Any insights or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
I am sorry, but a negative test at 9dpt would typically indicate that you are not pregnant.
I apologize, but a negative result on any test at 9 days past 5-day transfer would be conclusive. A First Response Early Result (FRER) test can detect hCG levels of around 10, while less sensitive tests may detect levels of around 25. By this time, you would ideally want hCG levels to be above 50.
I am in a similar situation as you, 9dp5dt today and also got a negative home test result. My blood work is scheduled for tomorrow. To be honest, I had already braced myself for disappointment at 7dp5dt, and now I am ready to focus on the next cycle. I apologize. While there may still be a possibility, the odds seem slim.
I am also 9 days past a 5-day embryo transfer and received a negative result. I have decided to stop testing and will continue taking my medications until my beta test on Monday and results on Tuesday.
I just received a negative result on a home pregnancy test at 9 days past 5-day embryo transfer. I am completely devastated. I didn’t experience any symptoms like others have reported, but I was still holding onto hope for a miracle. After my third failed transfer, I think I am ready to give up on IVF. It’s been an incredibly challenging journey.
Sorry, I can’t provide a rephrase of a deleted comment.
The effectiveness of the test varies depending on the brand, with pregmate strips being particularly unreliable. I suggest continuing with medication until advised otherwise by your clinic, as there have been cases of negative urine tests showing positive beta results.
Unfortunately, I experienced a chemical pregnancy after my last FET. I noticed symptoms that seemed different from progesterone-related ones, such as breast tenderness, fatigue, and feeling hot, a few days after my positive test. My most recent FET was on Wednesday, and I’m finding it difficult to resist the urge to overanalyze and take tests.
My first FET was on the same day as yours! FET twins! I have been experiencing random hot flashes and sore boobs, but I believe it’s due to the progesterone. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for success! ![]()
I experienced symptoms from the progesterone and estrogen before my FET, but the early signs were similar to my previous pregnancies: cramping, tender breasts, and bloating. Cramping is always the first symptom for me, starting around 5 days post-transfer or 10 days post-ovulation. The other symptoms come a few days before a beta test or period. My FET was successful, but it’s important to remember that early symptoms can be attributed to hormones and not necessarily pregnancy. It’s easy to drive yourself crazy trying to spot every little symptom.
Early on in the process, the symptoms of cramping and nausea can be attributed to the use of exogenous progesterone and estrogen. From personal experience, successful transfers can happen without any symptoms, while failed transfers may come with various signs like cramping. Therefore, symptom spotting is not a reliable indicator of success. The same applies to pregnancy, where symptoms can vary greatly from one experience to the next. Whether experiencing symptoms or not, it is best not to stress about it.
I experienced minimal symptoms post FET and felt anxious during the two-week wait. Today, my beta is at 2900. Remember, lack of symptoms does not necessarily indicate failure - every individual’s body is unique. Sending baby dust your way! ![]()
During my three unsuccessful or chemical transfers, I experienced a variety of symptoms such as tender breasts and sharp twinges in my ovaries. However, in my current ongoing pregnancy at 7 weeks, I have only felt a bit more tired than usual.
From day 4-10 dpt, I experienced a feeling of pulling or pinching, bloating, extremely vivid dreams, disrupted sleep, excessive thirst, slight difficulty breathing, and waking up in the middle of the night to eat. My biggest craving was for protein during this time.
After a successful FET, there were no symptoms present.
I also had my FET on the same day! I’m trying my best not to obsess over symptoms, but it’s really challenging.
I’m here to share my experience with two successful FETs, although they sadly ended in miscarriages. Sore boobs were my main symptom that confirmed the transfer was successful. I also had one day of migraine and one day of emotional breakdown. Everyone’s symptoms are different, so try not to stress too much. Sending positive vibes for a successful transfer!
I experienced bloating, breast soreness, mild nausea, and cramping with my unsuccessful FET. Hopefully, September will bring success.
Sadly, my first FET resulted in a loss, but it began with a positive test 4 days post embryo transfer and a strong line by day 6. Despite the early promise, it ended in an 8-week miscarriage.
