Ugh, it’s happening again – my treatment has been delayed because the clinic dropped the ball. This isn’t the first time, and I’m getting really tired of it. I’ve been waiting for this for so long, only to be hit with delays and excuses. Has anyone else experienced this? How did you handle it? Share your stories and advice, I could really use some support right now.
If I were in this situation, I would take the initiative to reach out and schedule appointments promptly, instead of waiting for healthcare providers to contact me. I often plan ahead and request appointments between specific dates, even months in advance. It’s not easy, but you have to be proactive and advocate for yourself.
Experiences like this remind me to stay proactive and motivated. It’s important to remember that others may not care. Have a great vacation!
Whenever I come across a post like this, I can’t help but wonder if they’re referring to my clinic. It’s so frustrating how they all seem to be the same!
I completed 3 egg retrievals and 3 FETs in just one year! I’m sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with your clinic. IVF already involves a lot of waiting, so I hope they can assist you in reaching your goals. Wishing you the best of luck in your journey.
My clinic feels similar, as if I have to oversee everything.
I became depressed about a year into TTC partly due to the stressful IUI cycle. I was overwhelmed with the constant communication with the clinic and the need to order the trigger shot myself. It was frustrating and exhausting, especially with a job and long commute. The second IUI failed because I decided to trust the clinic, but they failed to communicate effectively, leading to a last-minute cancellation. Now I realize I have to be assertive in order to get the necessary support and treatment.
I may be late to this, but I am in the same situation and find it incredibly frustrating. In February, my first IVF consult agreed on a timeline between egg retrieval and transfer. Despite my desire for immediate action, they advised waiting. After repeatedly asking for an external referral, it was finally sent in May during my second retrieval cycle. However, the provider requires a consultation first, resulting in a 6-week wait. The hysteroscopy will then be scheduled for another six weeks after that. I hope you get everything sorted, I’ll be trying to secure cancellation slots through constant calling.
