Feeling Frustrated: Progyny's Pricing Leaves Me Wondering

Has anyone else noticed what seems like inflated pricing with Progyny’s services? I recently received a bill that left me scratching my head. I understand quality comes at a cost, but I can’t shake the feeling that things might be a bit overpriced. I’m curious if others have had similar experiences or if it’s just me. Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences on this!

I would reach out to Progeny for information as they provided clear details on my payment until reaching my out of pocket maximum. This is the norm for them and they informed me of the total cost during our initial call. Once I hit my out of pocket max, I no longer have to pay for any services used throughout the year.

I’m a fraud investigator at a health insurance company and it’s common for doctor’s offices to charge different prices for cash and insurance. They can bill insurance whatever they want, so your clinic may have billed Progyny more than they initially told you. Unfortunately, doctors often charge more to insurance companies because they believe they can get away with it. I have Progyny as well, so I understand your frustration.

Progyny’s billing system is chaotic. I had a transfer on January 3rd, experienced a miscarriage on February 13th, and just received bills on July 4th for medications and ultrasounds from December when the cycle began.
