Has anyone else experienced the disappointment of having their cycle cancelled because of follicle size? It can be so disheartening when you’re ready for everything to progress, and then suddenly, it’s put on hold. I’m curious to hear about your experiences and how you coped with the unexpected setback. Let’s share our stories and support each other through this challenging time.
After undergoing stimulation for 10 days, I had one follicle that measured 19 mm and about 5 others around 10-11 mm. Due to a cycle cancellation, we adjusted the protocol and did a second cycle at the end of April. Today, I received the news that I have two frozen embryos, which is a much better outcome compared to the first time.
I had two eggs of good size and several smaller ones that likely weren’t mature enough to fertilize. After the day 12 scan, we were given the choice to proceed with retrieval, knowing we would only get a maximum of 2 eggs, or to cancel and try again the next month. We decided to cancel and try again later.
My cycle was recently cancelled due to stalled and uneven follicle growth. The doctor estimated I would have around 5 mature eggs from 20 follicles, so we decided to cancel and trigger that day. I started a new cycle 2 days ago, but my baseline scan showed 3 big cysts, likely my lead follicles from the previous cycle. I have my second scan this Saturday and I’m feeling very anxious.
