Feeling Anxious: Waiting for ER Results

Just left the emergency room after some concerning symptoms hit me out of nowhere. Now the waiting game for test results begins. Feeling a bit anxious and looking for some virtual support. Any words of encouragement or similar experiences to share? Appreciate any kind words right now.

I really wish I could go back and advise myself to resist the urge to constantly seek information online and compare my experiences to others. Despite my doubts, I ended up with 6 euploid blasts out of 18 eggs retrieved. Your fertility journey is unique to you, and it’s important to have patience as you navigate it. Good luck to you on your journey!

In all honesty, achieving 20 eggs is already an impressive feat. If your clinic led you to expect more, their expectations were far too high. You are off to a great start and there is no denying that this number is excellent. What lies ahead is uncertain, but this is a very successful first step.

When I did my egg retrieval at 25, they retrieved 21 eggs and I ended up with three healthy euploids. Initially disappointed, but now incredibly grateful. Every journey is unique, but I empathize with the challenge of finding accurate statistics!

I may be significantly older than you, but we have similar AFC. As I’ve been reading a lot on this topic, I didn’t take into account that my location in Canada may have a more conservative approach. I have an ideal blast number in mind and I believe it would take 10 mature eggs to reach it, so having 20 retrieved would be a dream come true! I will likely take a break and not stress out yet, as there is still a long journey ahead.
