Just wrapped up my stims, and things were going okay until suddenly… bam! Triggered. The anxiety hit hard, and now I’m making my way to the ER. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions, but I know I’m not alone in this. Anyone else been through a similar situation? Share your stories and tips, it would mean a lot right now.
Congratulations on reaching this milestone! My first experience with endometrial ablation was a week ago. I didn’t find it too painful, but my ovaries were uncomfortable for a few days afterward. The bloating and gas were the worst part for me. Remember to stay hydrated and not skip on stool softeners like I did. Make sure to have a heating pad, comfy clothes, and good shows lined up for the weekend. Some people recover quickly, but it took me 2-3 days to feel ready for normal activities.
Congratulations on reaching this milestone! My first experience with an ER was just a week ago. It wasn’t too painful, but I did feel some discomfort in my ovaries for a few days afterwards. The bloating and gas were the worst parts for me. Keep track of your electrolytes and make sure not to skimp on the stool softener like I did, it’s important! Have your heat pad and comfy clothes ready, as well as some good shows to watch over the weekend. Some people recover quickly, but personally, it took me 2-3 days to feel ready for normal activities.
I have the exact same timeline as you! Sending you my best wishes!
Today was my second egg retrieval and I feel a strange combination of fullness and emptiness, almost like I’m filled with rocks. I have intense gas pains in my lower abdomen and feel internally bloated. Thankfully, I haven’t needed much pain medication besides the IV Tylenol for mild cramping. After my first retrieval, I experienced constipation and mild OHSS symptoms for about a week until I took laxatives. This time, I started taking stool softeners early on and have noticed a significant improvement in my bowel movements. I recommend starting stool softeners now and continuing them with electrolyte drinks for better comfort.
Make sure to consume salty foods in addition to drinking electrolytes.
