Feeling Anxious: Considering a Biopsy, Need Advice

I’ve been feeling anxious lately as my doctor has recommended a biopsy for a suspicious lump. I’m torn between wanting to know more for peace of mind and fearing the unknown. Has anyone here gone through a biopsy before? How did you cope with the uncertainty leading up to it? I would really appreciate any advice or personal experiences you can share. Thank you in advance for your support.

Preparing for my first transfer, I am faced with the challenging decision of whether to undergo a biopsy despite not experiencing any symptoms. I want to maximize my chances of success, especially since we only have one remaining embryo of the same gender that we lost in a previous natural pregnancy. While I have heard that the biopsy can be painful, I am strongly considering going through with it as a precautionary measure.

After reading your post, it seems like you are interested in checking it out. Hopefully, it won’t take up too much of your time. With Receptiva, a mock cycle is needed, followed by approximately ten days to receive the biopsy results.

I would suggest discussing this with your doctor. I have always experienced severe period pain and suspect I may have endometriosis even though it hasn’t been confirmed. After a failed transfer, I considered further testing but my doctor advised proceeding with another transfer, which has been successful so far. It may be worth moving forward with a transfer before undergoing additional tests.

Have you ever had a SIS procedure? I had one done after my ER visit, where they found a polyp. I then had a hysteroscopy to remove it and sent the samples for testing. I’ve been told that ER hormones can cause polyps. It’s best to ask your doctor about the questions you’ve posted online. No one online can accurately diagnose you.
