Exploring Red Light Therapy: Has Anyone Tried It for IVF?

Hey there! I recently stumbled upon some information about red light therapy and its potential benefits for IVF treatment. As someone who is currently going through the process, I’m curious to hear if anyone here has any experience with using red light therapy to support IVF.
I’ve read that red light therapy can improve blood flow, reduce inflammation, and even enhance the quality of eggs and sperm. It sounds promising, but I would love to hear firsthand accounts from those who have tried it.
If you have any insights, tips, or personal anecdotes to share, please do! I’m eager to learn more and see if this could be a helpful addition to my IVF journey.

I tried using my red light face mask, not sure if it worked well but it provided a nice warmth :joy:.

I would wear the Hooga belt for 15 minutes every evening during retrievals. I can’t say for sure if it made a difference, but eventually I was able to achieve success.

I invested in a Celleulma home red light therapy device after researching and seeking recommendations from others struggling with fertility. Even though it was a bit pricey, I found it on sale and was concerned about the quality and effectiveness of cheaper brands. I loaned it to a neighbor for her egg retrievals and she found it helpful in improving her results. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have!

I decided not to continue using it after using it for a broken toe. The skin healed nicely but the bone didn’t show any improvement, so after 6 months I switched to using only a heating pad. I doubt it can reach deep enough to help with ovarian mitochondria, so I opted for NAD injections or supplements instead.

I purchased the Celluma Home device recommended by Dr. Aimee in an AMA and I absolutely love it. However, Red Light Man also makes a similar product that is cheaper. The Japanese and Danish studies on red light therapy were convincing in terms of success for egg retrievals and transfers. It is important to ensure that any device you choose is within a specific wavelength range of 720-840nm for fertility benefits. It is advised to discontinue use on the womb following transfer and throughout pregnancy.
