Ensuring Transparency and Trust: How Can I Verify IVF Center's Procedures?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been on this emotional rollercoaster of fertility treatments, and the last thing I want to worry about is whether my IVF center is actually doing what they claim. Does anyone else share this concern? How can we make sure they’re not just taking our money and not delivering on their promises? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences on how to verify that our eggs are being retrieved and fertilized as they should be. Let’s support each other through this journey!

If you have any doubts about the practices of your clinic, it may be best to seek care elsewhere.

Do you have any doubts about this? Clinics have no motivation to do this since it would harm their success rates.

I am feeling perplexed… What is happening?

Is there something at your clinic that is worrying you? Normally, you will be informed about the number of eggs retrieved, how many were fertilized, and how many reached the blastocyst stage. Additionally, you will receive a photo of your embryo prior to transfer.

I would seek guidance from a therapist regarding this issue.

Clinics depend on their success rates to attract more patients by showcasing successful pregnancies.

I don’t understand, what do you mean?

Do you have suspicions about a clinic behaving this way towards you?

I can’t believe this! What is happening here?

There is no reason for them to lie to you unless you are going to an untrustworthy clinic. In countries like the US where success rates must be reported, they have a strong incentive for a positive outcome.

If you have very low AMH, the only thing your clinics didn’t do is warn you that it may require several rounds. Our first cycle didn’t go as planned, but doctors would be at risk of losing their job if they didn’t provide agreed-upon care. Going through a retrieval without any caution could be considered assault.

If this is a concern for you, it’s best to avoid using this clinic.

Wow, that sounds like a disappointing experience. I also had a rough first round with no success, so I can empathize with how you’re feeling. It’s natural to question what may have gone wrong. Have you had a chance to follow up with the doctors and nurses to discuss your results?

It seems like the clinic may not have your best interests at heart and is solely focused on making money. I completely understand your concerns. However, if they engage in any unethical behavior, they could face severe consequences such as staff losing licenses and legal action. Rest assured, they will provide you with information after your retrieval is completed. If you have specific suspicions, consider discussing them with the clinic or the medical board.

I have a low AMH level. How can I ensure that the eggs have been retrieved and fertilized properly? How can I verify the embryos they provide are indeed ours and not from another couple? If necessary, how can I confirm this legally, even through a lawsuit?

They have not given us any evidence or documentation; they simply called us and provided the information without further support.

I have a question: who will verify the success rate information? Will a certified board ask the patients or check the embryos? What if false successes are provided? They cannot confirm with patients due to HIPAA. I have left negative comments on their Google reviews and they were not posted, only positive reviews are visible. How can I warn others and verify if they are genuine or fraudulent?

We have completed the current cycle as the Doctor and Nurse have confirmed that both embryos had chromosomal abnormalities. We are considering trying naturally and would like to know how many months it takes for the medications to leave the body completely.

I will request a full report from them as they administered the highest dosage of medications and reported retrieving only 4 eggs. Our hope dwindled at the mention of just 4 eggs being retrieved.
