Hey all, I wanted to reach out and see if anyone else has experienced significant swelling or bloating post Egg Retrieval. I had my procedure a few days ago, and I’m feeling way more uncomfortable than I anticipated. The bloating is intense, and my stomach feels like it’s ready to pop! Any tips on how to alleviate this or how long it might last? It would be a huge relief to hear from others who have gone through the same thing. Thanks in advance for any advice or shared experiences!
I experienced this for approximately 5 days. It seems like your experience may have been more severe, but I struggled to walk without pain for a few days. Although I did not have OHSS, thankfully it eventually subsided.
A week after leaving the ER, I was still struggling. I couldn’t even get off the couch and had to resort to wearing my husband’s sweatpants every day because none of my own clothes would fit. They were too painful to wear even if I could physically put them on. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
