Hi everyone, I just found out that I have a Subchorionic Hematoma at 5 weeks into my pregnancy, and I’m feeling quite anxious about it. Has anyone else experienced this? I’m worried about the bleeding and what it means for my baby. Any words of advice or support would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for sharing your experiences or insights!
I used to have one of those and it scared me. My baby girl is turning one soon.
Hearing another positive story might be helpful: At around 8 weeks pregnant, I woke up in a large pool of blood. My husband was unreachable due to a field exercise, and no one else knew at that point. I drove myself to the ER where they found a large SCH. I bled on/off for weeks, but my little girl is now almost 5. It’s scary, but my research has shown that SCH usually resolves on its own. Wishing you the best .
My friend and I are both expecting on the same date, thanks to IVF. We both experienced SCH bleeds at different times but are now progressing well at 23 and a half weeks. It was scary, but our doctors advised partial pelvic rest until 12 weeks. SCH bleeds are more common in IVF pregnancies. I hope everything goes smoothly for you.
I apologize for scaring you. I experienced a sudden gush of blood last night, which they suspect was from SCH. Fortunately, after a follow-up today, everything seems to be okay!
Thanks for sharing! Sending you plenty of positive vibes and love .
I had a ultrasound at 6 weeks but we haven’t seen it on my 10 week scan yet. Next appointment is at 13 weeks next week.
I had two in my first trimester and I’m almost 24 weeks now! Dealing with them is very stressful 🫶🏼.
I’m currently waiting for my nurse to respond to my message on the portal and came across this recent thread. I discovered yesterday that I had bled through my underwear and jeans upon returning home from being 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant. The blood was mostly brown and dried, with bright red blood and small clots coming out when I peed. Despite not feeling a rush of anything, I found some alarming signs. I have been cramping on and off since a few days after transfer, but they haven’t worsened. I am not on suppositories, only PIO shots. I am uncertain if the amount of bleeding is concerning or not. If I hadn’t confirmed my pregnancy, I would have assumed it was my period. My first ultrasound isn’t until 2/21, which seems so far away. I hope my nurse responds soon and confirms if it’s just a subchorionic hematoma, as I am currently feeling quite scared.
I’m curious to know the outcome of this situation. I experienced light pink/brown spotting at 5w5d and have an ultrasound tomorrow. Feeling worried.
