I recently had a saline ultrasound done, and I noticed some unexpected bleeding afterward. I’m a bit worried and wondering if this is normal or if I should be concerned. Has anyone else experienced bleeding after a saline ultrasound? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Make sure to call them in the morning when they open to ask about your bleeding, as we are not doctors. I experienced bleeding for a day or two as well, so it’s important for them to know, just in case!
My husband and I looked at what we had coming up, decided which travel was non-negotiable, and planned our IVF cycles around those things. I could have started prepping for my ER in June instead of August, for example, but we had a long-planned international trip with friends that we would have been really sad to miss. We had to put a pin in FET prep when we had a death in the family and we wanted to attend the out-of-state funeral, and again for a special vacation and then the holidays with family who live in other states. All of those things were important to us, and we set our priorities accordingly. Other people would have chosen differently, and that’s also reasonable.
My husband feels strongly that he’d rather have something on the calendar and know we might to cancel due to fertility stuff than to have no plans at all and nothing to look forward to. So he’s been very proactive about scheduling weekend trips, getting tickets for events, etc., and it turns out we were able to do like 98% of those things. We had to make a vague excuse and reschedule a family visit that would have ended up falling during my first week of stims, but all of that was manageable and it wasn’t the crisis that I built it up to be in my head.
