Iced the area before injecting menopur slowly can help reduce the burning sensation, mix and allow it to sit for 5 minutes before injecting at a very slow pace.
Starting with Menopur was rough, but it got easier. The first day felt like a burn, but now the stims seem far away. Just focus on the 2 weeks ahead.
Allowing it to sit for 5 minutes after mixing before injecting improved the outcome.
I only use menopur for stimulation, 3 in the morning and 3 at night. It can be tough, but it does get easier. When it hurts and you’re scared of the needle, take a pause and remind yourself, ‘this is for my baby’. Trust me, it will give you the courage and strength you need to push through. Just focus on getting through that one moment at a time.
It is important to be cautious when receiving injections from others. Make sure to allow Menopur to rest for 5 minutes before injecting, and apply ice to the injection site. Inject slowly and pause if there is a stinging sensation, allowing it to fade. Apply more ice afterward to minimize discomfort.
Applying ice beforehand completely numbs the area.
Administer the needle injection quickly and then slowly inject the Menopur, taking 2 to 3 minutes. You may find it helpful to administer the injections yourself so you can stop if it becomes too much. It may become easier over time, with some days being less painful than others. Wishing you the best of luck.
All of their products are designed to minimize the discomfort of injections, including a numbing cream and a plastic disk. I recommend applying the numbing cream, icing the area, setting up the injection ahead of time, and injecting slowly for the best results. Best of luck!
When I press and pinch the area a bit more firmly, I noticed that it helps.
It’s completely normal for the menopur to cause a burning sensation, especially when fear is also in the mix. However, practicing some mind over matter techniques could really help you manage the discomfort and even empower you to take charge of the situation. Instead of seeing the burn as a negative, try reframing it as a sign that the medication is doing its job. This whole process is part of an exciting journey towards a positive outcome, so why not focus on that goal instead? Overcoming your fear of needles through this experience could be a rewarding achievement in itself. Maybe you could push yourself to take control by administering the shots on your own. Just remember, our minds are incredibly adaptable with a little bit of effort.
I utilized a unique strategy that may seem unusual but was extremely effective in assisting me with the injections.
I’m sorry to hear that you’re struggling with menopur. It can be difficult to deal with. However, in my experience, anything after menopur, like PIO shots for transfers, was much easier. So hopefully things will improve for you soon. Stay strong!
Before injecting, make sure to clean the needle with an alcohol wipe. I noticed that if any liquid was left on the needle without wiping it off, the injection site would become more irritated.
