Congratulations! I’ve had people, including my supervisor, call me lucky for not experiencing morning sickness during my pregnancy. My supervisor seemed disappointed when I told her that my pregnancy is not like hers. I made it clear to her that I’m grateful for my smooth pregnancy and she has stopped comparing herself to me. Meanwhile, my coworker jokingly reminds me that I paid for these pregnancy symptoms whenever I complain about feeling tired or sore. ![]()
I have experience as a surrogate, administering injections and undergoing pregnancies. Many women may feel unprepared for the challenges of pregnancy and childbirth.
Being post-ER was definitely the worst experience for me. OHSS was even worse than both of my IVF and FET pregnancies put together. I feel like women who have never gone through fertility treatments don’t truly understand how awful it can be. Currently pregnant with my second FET and at 32 weeks, bending is a challenge, but nothing compared to the misery of post-ER.
Congratulations! That is truly fantastic, and I couldn’t be more thrilled for you. It’s frustrating how some people’s reactions can be so negative and unhelpful.
Congratulations on being 22 weeks pregnant with your first after a long struggle with infertility. I can definitely relate to the annoyance of people constantly saying “just wait until…” I know there will be challenges ahead, but we have waited and worked hard for this. Let’s focus on enjoying this moment and looking forward to the future. Ignore the negative comments and embrace your happiness. Wishing you all the best! ![]()

I can only speak from my own experience, but I am currently in my third trimester after trying to conceive for 2.5 years through IVF. Pregnancy has its challenges, but I am grateful for the symptoms that confirm my pregnancy each day. I am thankful for this journey.
Congratulations on your pregnancy! One of the gifts of IVF/infertility is that you learn not to take anything for granted. Focus on the joy of being pregnant and savor every moment, despite what others may say. Just smile and tune them out, and focus on the little miracle growing inside of you. ![]()
Congrats! Many people feel unhappy, but I had a wonderful pregnancy. I’d prefer being 9 months pregnant over going through IVF, PIO, and unsuccessful transfers any day.
It’s frustrating when people say to “enjoy your sleep now because you won’t have any with a baby.” It isn’t helpful and can be an exaggeration.
I am well into my second trimester now and we had to purchase an at-home Doppler so I could listen to the heartbeat myself. My lack of symptoms was worrying me, but I can confidently say that infertility, loss, and IVF are all much more difficult and uncomfortable experiences than pregnancy. Some people are lucky to lack this perspective.
Safeguard your happiness! I prefer to keep my IVF journey private and do not share it with many people. Dealing with the emotional rollercoaster of IVF is challenging enough without the added opinions and advice from others.
My pregnancy was absolutely delightful! I was filled with joy throughout, although it did get a bit uncomfortable towards the end. Despite this, it was completely worth it. Wishing you a healthy and happy 9 months and a lifetime of joy!Congratulations on your pregnancy!
I would do anything to receive such a gift. It pains me to hear women talking like that, but I understand it as a way to release their feelings of exhaustion and frustration.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Wishing you a happy and healthy journey to delivery
(And those individuals definitely need to be more considerate of the situation!)
Congrats, woohoo! Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed being pregnant - minimal discomfort and the ability to eat more without gaining weight in unwanted areas. It seems like some individuals are just unhappy and feel the need to compete in any situation. Perhaps they are attempting to connect, albeit in an unconstructive manner.
Congratulations on your positive news! Enjoy every moment of happiness and remember all the effort you put in to make this happen.
Don’t hesitate to set boundaries with those who try to diminish your experience with negative comments. It’s okay to not enjoy every aspect of pregnancy while still being grateful for the opportunity.
Remember, it’s okay to acknowledge your discomfort while also being thankful for the miracle of pregnancy. Your journey is unique, and your success is a blessing. Enjoy this special time!
Congrats on expecting! Don’t worry, my pregnancy at 43 was mostly smooth sailing besides some minor discomforts. Best wishes for an easy and healthy pregnancy!
Congrats! I’m also pregnant with IVF and it’s frustrating. People love to talk about how tired and difficult it will be once the baby arrives. Ignore them, they just like to complain. I’m 11w2d with hardly any symptoms, so a pleasant pregnancy is possible.
I can totally relate to this! I am only 6 weeks pregnant and have been thinking about this a lot. Thankfully, my symptoms have been mild so far and I am grateful for that. However, dealing with PIO injections, lumps on my butt, taking Synthroid every night, and using progesterone suppositories has been challenging. Despite all of this, I am incredibly grateful and looking forward to every moment of being pregnant. I don’t even mind the discomfort because I am so happy. Please don’t ask me if I am feeling terrible yet! I feel the same way about people who complain about their kids constantly.
